🗺️ HYPER MUSEUM Hannō

The new museum in Hannō City, Saitama Prefecture, will open in March 2025. It is located within the complex facility "Metsä," which consists of the Nordic lifestyle and leisure facility "Metsä Village" and the "MOOMINVALLEY PARK," themed around the Moomin stories. Unlike traditional museums that display artworks on walls for viewing, this museum is characterized by the artists and the exhibition methods it employs. It features top contemporary artists, popular young artists, and emerging talents, integrating their works with the surrounding nature through outdoor exhibitions and utilizing digital technology to introduce them, challenging visitors to experience art in a new way. As a special opening exhibition, "The Secret Island of the Cosmic Cat" by Kenji Yanobe will be held until August 31, 2025. This exhibition will showcase three-dimensional works, original paintings, and videos, reflecting Kenji Yanobe's 35-year career as an artist. The highlight of the exhibition is the "Island of the Cosmic Cat," which floats on Lake Miyazawa. Visitors can rent small boats to approach the island, and on weekends, during major holidays, and on select weekdays, island exploration tours will be conducted. Once on the island, visitors can closely observe the massive Island of the Cosmic Cat, which features facilities such as a bathtub and a studio.

The new museum will open in March 2025. It will showcase various forms of exhibits featuring the leaders of the modern art world. A special opening exhibition will be launched before August 31, 2025. Exploration tours of works displayed on the lake surface will be held on weekends, during long holidays, and on certain weekdays. It is located within the experiential facility "Metsä" in Hannō City, Saitama Prefecture.
