🎌 Seigoin Hachiya Main Store "Nama Yatsuhashi"

📝 Introduction

Elegant and uniquely flavored raw Yatsuhashi with a cinnamon aroma.

📖 Details

The famous shop "Shōgo-in Yatsuhashi Sohonten" is a classic souvenir store in Kyoto. The most well-known products are the regular baked sweets "Shōgo-in Yatsuhashi" and the filled raw yatsuhashi "Shin," but the "raw yatsuhashi" that was released before "Shin" also has a large fan base and is a hot-selling item. Compared to the yatsuhashi shaped like a guzheng, the raw yatsuhashi is in a long, flat shape. Made with simple ingredients like rice flour, sugar, and cinnamon, it has a gentle cinnamon aroma that pairs well with tea. The products include a 40-piece pack of original raw yatsuhashi, as well as a variety that comes with matcha. The seasonal packaging, featuring cherry blossoms in spring, goldfish and wind chimes in summer, autumn leaves, and winter snow and rabbits, is also very popular. In addition to the main store and the Kumano store, there are direct-operated stores at Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu Temple. You can also find them in department stores within Kyoto City, at shops in Kyoto Station, and online.
