⛩️ Kissho Shrine

📝 Introduction

A cute shrine where you can fulfill your romantic wishes, filled with heart shapes everywhere.

📖 Details

In 1226, the "Miz田天滿宮" was built to worship Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning. Located within its grounds, the Koi木神社 is the only shrine in Japan dedicated to the god of love, "Koi no Mikoto," making it a rare shrine. It is beloved by the public as the "God of Good Relationships" and the "God of Love." As you follow the worship path, you will see colorful heart-shaped ceramic tiles embedded in the "Koi参道." To pray for your romantic wishes to come true, take steps forward, and you will encounter the hollow heart-shaped "Good Relationship Fulfillment Koi Stone Lantern." Next, in front of the worship hall, the "Koi木鳥居" is adorned with ten family crests in heart-shaped designs. Of course, the amulets and goshuin are also designed in heart shapes, covered with heart patterns. After visiting the Koi木神社, it is recommended to take a look at the "Happiness One Tree," which is over 600 years old. It is said that if you walk around the tree in the order of left, right, left, "happiness will descend" upon you. Every year on July 7th, the "Love Binding Festival" is held, where wishes are written on strips of paper and offered. Additionally, they also conduct wedding ceremonies for couples (with a fee of 30,000 yen, and reservations must be made one week in advance).
