The main shrine of over 280 Ice God Shrines distributed throughout the Kanto region.

📖 Details

This ancient shrine is said to have a history of over 2400 years. Including the Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine, it serves as the head shrine of the Hikawa shrines in the Kanto region. The grounds are filled with a solemn and reverent atmosphere. The approach to the shrine extends 2 kilometers north and south from the Nakayama Road, lined with beautiful zelkova trees. Every year during the New Year, a large number of worshippers flock to the shrine, making it quite lively.

⭐ Highlights

The head shrine of over 280 "Glacier Shrines." On both sides of the approximately 2-kilometer approach are beautiful rows of zelkova trees. It is adjacent to the famous cherry blossom viewing spot "Omiya Park."
