🗺️ One Blue Lake

Located on the eastern coast of the Izu Peninsula, this crater lake was formed by a volcanic eruption approximately 100,000 years ago. The lake's surface reflects the surrounding mountains and lush trees, earning it the nickname "Izu's Eye." The lake has a circumference of 4 kilometers, and it takes about 60 minutes to walk around it. There are walking trails around the lake, attracting many hikers. The trails have gentle ups and downs, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains while walking leisurely. Ibi Lake boasts beautiful seasonal landscapes, with the most captivating being the autumn foliage season. The sight of the mountains ablaze with red leaves creates a dreamlike view over the lake, leaving visitors in awe. There are numerous cherry blossom trees along the lakeside, making it a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in spring. In addition, the torii gate seen from the "Ibi Lake Shrine" along the trail is also a popular photo spot. Located next to a small island called "Kyojima," the vermilion torii gate standing in the water is stunning. Furthermore, there are activities such as fishing, boating, and kayaking available near Ibi Lake.
