Established in 1953 in Kurume, this renowned tonkotsu ramen shop has been in operation for over half a century. The restaurant's signature feature is its exclusive "recall" method, which continuously adds new broth to ensure that the pot never runs out of the "recall broth." The rich and multi-layered flavor of the broth is beloved by customers and is even regarded among ramen enthusiasts as "if you haven't tried Daihō Ramen, you can't talk about tonkotsu ramen." The classic dish is the "ramen," which uses homemade medium-thin noodles that absorb the flavorful broth of the "recall broth." The "old-fashioned ramen (Dangan Ramen)" made with handmade "traditional fried pork cracklings" is also a popular item, as the addition of fried pork cracklings enhances the nostalgic flavor. The mini-sized "tasting combo meal" allows customers to enjoy two signature dishes at once, making it quite popular among tourists and first-time tasters. The shop is located in the heart of "the holy land of tonkotsu ramen—Kurume," and there are seven additional branches within Fukuoka Prefecture, as well as three branches overseas.
