🗺️ Hana Garden "Hana・Tento"

Flower Garden "Hana・Tento" is a beautiful garden located on "Tento Mountain" in Abashiri City, Hokkaido, covering an area of approximately 3.5 hectares. In winter, the area serves as a ski resort, and in the summer of 2002, it began transforming into a flower garden, becoming a popular recreational spot for locals. The garden is maintained through a "adoption program" where citizens and administrative units collaborate to plant and care for the flowers. The city government provides seedlings and tools, and participating citizens, guided by volunteers, engage in activities such as planting flowers and weeding to preserve the beauty of the flower fields. From early July to late September each year, around 25,000 sage plants bloom, surrounded by flowers in red, blue, white, and pink, ensuring stunning photo opportunities. From the mountaintop cabin, one can enjoy breathtaking views of the Shiretoko mountain range, the Sea of Okhotsk, and Lake Abashiri. While taking a leisurely break, visitors can also appreciate the magnificent natural scenery.
