🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
Beautiful terraced fields in a countryside filled with historical romance.
📖 Details
The Inabuchi Rice Terraces located in Asuka Village, Nara Prefecture. Asuka Village is home to several relics and artifacts from Japan's creation period, allowing visitors to experience the original landscapes and historical romance of Japan. It is also known as a famous rice-producing area, with serene flatlands and a picturesque view of terraced fields in the mountainous regions.
The rice terraces in the Inabuchi area were cultivated during the medieval Heian to Kamakura periods and are regarded as one of the historical landscapes of Asuka Village. To this day, there are over 300 rice paddies, creating a beautiful landscape in harmony with the farmland. This rural scenery, rich in agricultural charm, is a well-known spot listed among the "100 Selected Rice Terraces of Japan."
The Inabuchi Rice Terraces offer distinct views throughout the four seasons. In spring, rapeseed flowers bloom vibrantly; in early summer, the rice paddies shine like mirrors; in summer, the green rice fields reflect the lush mountains; and in autumn, the rice ears turn a golden yellow. Particularly spectacular is the sight of the red spider lilies blooming along the terraces and embankments in autumn. The swaying rice ears in the gentle breeze contrast beautifully with the vibrant red flowers scattered across the ground.
There are no specific regulations prohibiting entry to the rice terraces, but it is advised not to enter without permission. To ensure this beautiful landscape can be preserved for future generations, please remember to adhere to etiquette while visiting.
