🍜 Kamameshi Haru - Asakusa Main Store (釜めし春 浅草本店)

📝 Introduction

A long-established, original kamameshi (rice cooked in an iron pot) specialty shop.

📖 Details

Founded in 1926, this restaurant specializes in釜飯 (kamameshi). It is said to have a long history of coming up with the idea of釜飯. The restaurant serves individual portions of rice and ingredients in a釜 (kama) and prepares each one carefully after the order is placed, taking about 25 minutes to cook. The wait is worthwhile as the food is incredibly delicious. In addition to chicken and seafood, there are seasonal限定釜飯 (limited edition kamameshi) made with ingredients that are in season. In the evening, there is a variety of rich side dishes that pair well with alcohol.

⭐ Highlights

You can enjoy Takikomi Gohan prepared with seasonal ingredients. Since preparing Takikomi Gohan takes some time, we recommend enjoying other dishes while you wait. It is also available for takeout; simply place your order at the store and come back after a while to pick it up.
