🗺️ Osaka Nagai Botanical Garden teamLab Botanical Garden OSAKA
🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
A fantastical artistic space that combines nature and technology.
📖 Details
The art team "teamLab," skilled in utilizing digital technology, has launched a permanent nighttime outdoor art museum. During the day, it is the "Nagai Botanical Garden," and at night, it transforms into a fantastical art space created with light, shadow, and sound.
In the camellia garden, there are egg-shaped installations called "Ovoid." Whenever someone touches them, the wind blows, or rain falls, the light and colors change, creating a massive sculpture of swirling light that interacts with the energy generated by birds flying nearby. Additionally, there are dawn redwoods and crepe myrtle pathways that light up and make sounds when someone passes by. These are interactive works that respond to natural elements such as seasons, weather, and human actions.
In spring, seasonal limited works themed around seasonal flowers like the butterfly flower will be exhibited. Through a smartphone navigation app, visitors can read about the creative concepts of nearby works, enhancing their viewing experience. Moreover, in the "Distributed Fire" app, as visitors approach the artwork "Particle World of Flames in the Forest - Secondary Forest," flames will ignite within the app, allowing visitors to take the flames home.
There are no fixed routes within the venue, allowing guests to wander freely through the botanical garden while enjoying the pleasures of art.
