LaView, which began operation in 2019, is a limited express train on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. It can reach from Ikebukuro Station to Seibu-Chichibu Station in as little as 77 minutes. It is the best transportation option for sightseeing in the Chichibu area, allowing for a full day of exploration and a return to downtown Tokyo the same day. The train is designed under the concept of "a completely new train never seen before," supervised by world-renowned architect Kazuyo Sejima. The front of the train features a large streamlined glass design, giving it a soft and approachable feel. The interior is decorated in a warm yellow tone. The open-plan carriages, reminiscent of a living room, offer comfortable seating and large windows, allowing passengers to enjoy a pleasant journey with panoramic views along the way. In addition to a regular ticket, passengers need to purchase a limited express ticket for their destination. If you hold a SEIBU 1Day Pass or SEIBU 2Day Pass (exclusive for foreign travelers, allowing unlimited rides within one or two days, excluding the Tamagawa Line), you can simply purchase the limited express ticket to board.
