🗺️ Shimane Winery

A sightseeing winery located about a 5-minute drive from "出雲大社" (Izumo Taisha). Izumo City is one of the top grape-producing regions in the country, and this winery was established in 1986 to make full use of the locally produced grapes. Particularly from April to June, the shipment of Delaware grapes ranks among the top in the nation, praised for their high sugar content and aromatic juiciness. The winery carefully crafts wines using high-quality local grapes, which have received high acclaim in various competitions in recent years. The area, characterized by red-tiled roof buildings that exude an exotic charm, features many highlights worth seeing. There is the "Wine Brewing Hall," where visitors can freely observe the wine-making process, a barbecue restaurant, and the "Tasting Sales Hall Bacchus," which offers wine tastings and a variety of souvenirs, with around 110 types of wine available for free tasting. For those who cannot drink alcohol or for children, grape beverages are also available. If you find a wine you like after tasting, you can purchase it on-site. Additionally, the barbecue restaurant where you can enjoy local beef varieties, "島根和牛" (Shimane Wagyu), and a wine bar offering wine at affordable prices are also highly recommended.
