🗺️ Snake Valley Park

Covering a total area of 21.45 hectares, this park surrounded by greenery serves as a recreational area for citizens. It features various facilities such as a baseball field, a croquet court, tennis courts, and a ground golf course. From the observation deck, you can overlook the city of Yatsushiro, the Ariake Sea, and the breathtaking views of Unzen. On clear days, you can also see the Uto Peninsula and Mount Fugendake in the distance. Every spring, around 1,500 cherry blossom trees bloom in the "Forest of Memorial Trees," attracting many visitors for cherry blossom viewing. The most popular playground equipment among children in the park is the "Super Slide." With a length of 130 meters, this thrilling roller slide can be enjoyed for free. First, grab a mat at the foot of the hill, then climb to the top of the slide. The exhilarating feeling of gliding through the wind allows even adults to play freely, as if returning to their childhood.
