🗺️ Daoshiyi Takachiho

Located on National Route 218, this roadside rest area is about a 5-minute drive from "Takachiho Gorge," a top energy spot in Kyushu that is steeped in the myth of the descent of the heavenly grandson. Nestled in a prime location surrounded by nature, it offers a view of the designated national scenic spot and natural monument "Takachiho Gorge," as well as the elegantly arched "Shinto Takachiho Bridge." Inside the product hall, you can find unique local products from Takachiho and fresh vegetables from local farms. There is also a restaurant with a view of the lush greenery outside. Each dish is made with rich local ingredients and handcrafted, receiving high praise. You can enjoy various regional dishes, including the famous Nanban chicken from Miyazaki Prefecture. At the entrance, the three-dimensional stone sculptures of "Ame-no-Tajikarao" and "Ame-no-Uzume" greet every visitor with their powerful expressions. This is a unique photo spot in the mythological town of Takachiho, beloved by tourists.
