Nikkō Futarasan Shrine is a shrine that worships the main peak of the Nikkō Mountains, "Nikkō Sanzan," as its deity. It is quite famous as a shrine for good fortune and auspicious marriages. The vermilion wooden bridge "Shinkyo," located at the entrance to Nikkō Mountain, is also part of Futarasan Shrine's architecture. This beautiful wooden bridge serves as the gateway to the World Heritage Site "Shrines and Temples of Nikkō." Additionally, there is the "Chūkyō-ji," a branch of Futarasan Shrine located by Lake Chūzenji, and the "Okumiya," located at the summit of Mount Nantai. Nikkō Futarasan Shrine has been registered as a World Heritage Site as part of the "Shrines and Temples of Nikkō."
