🗺️ Fuji Mountain Museum

Located at the foot of Mount Fuji, the Fujiyoshida Historical and Folklore Museum introduces knowledge related to Mount Fuji through large models, light sculpture projections, and touch screen images. It allows visitors to easily understand the history of Mount Fuji and Fujiyoshida City from various perspectives. The newly opened "Mount Fuji VR Theater" in 2023 offers an immersive experience of Mount Fuji's magnificent scenery through stunning images projected on 360-degree walls and floor screens, recreating the wind and the scent of plants experienced while climbing, making visitors feel as if they are actually ascending Mount Fuji. Inside the museum, there are various meticulously designed exhibits, including a display area introducing the origins and changes of Mount Fuji worship, and light sculpture projections on a giant model of Mount Fuji at a scale of 1/2,000. The museum shop offers exclusive Mount Fuji-related merchandise. There is also an observation space on the top floor where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Fuji.
