🗺️ Sapporo Dome

📝 Introduction

Not only can you watch sports competitions and concerts, but you can also enjoy the various facilities at Sapporo Dome.

📖 Details

Opened in 2001, the Sapporo Dome is the largest all-weather dome in Hokkaido. As the home of the Hokkaido Sapporo Consadole, it frequently hosts not only sports events but also large concerts, exhibitions, and other activities. While many visit primarily to watch sports games and enjoy concerts, the Sapporo Dome also features observation decks and other facilities, making it a highly recommended tourist attraction. The building was designed by architect Hiroshi Hara, known for projects like the Umeda Sky Building and Kyoto Station Building. It is the only dome in Japan with an observation deck, located approximately 53 meters high, offering stunning views of the entire dome and the Sapporo cityscape. On days without games or events, guided tours of the dome are available, allowing visitors to see behind-the-scenes areas that are usually off-limits. Additionally, there are commemorative displays featuring autographed items from players and memorabilia from the Japan national football team.
