🗺️ Mianhe Stream

📝 Introduction

It has beautiful emerald green streams and is the largest valley in Shikoku.

📖 Details

Mikawa River is located at the southern foot of Mount Shikotsu and is the largest valley in Shikoku. It is situated at the source of the "Niyodogawa," known for its top-quality water in Japan, and the clear, transparent river is equally impressive compared to the Niyodogawa. There are walking paths along the valley where visitors can enjoy the emerald green stream and majestic rocks while leisurely strolling. The two most representative walking paths are the "Main Stream Route," which features many unique attractions, and the "Teppo Route," which follows the quiet Teppo River. The Main Stream Route takes about 45 minutes one way, with beautiful smooth rocks at "Goshiki Riverbank" and maple trees at "Momiji Riverbank" along the way. The Teppo Route offers a pleasant walk along the tranquil river, taking approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes one way. For those who want to easily take in the scenery along the valley, the "Sekimon Route," which takes about 20 minutes one way, is recommended. With each season revealing various landscapes, the abundant nature of Mikawa River showcases its unique charm. In spring, you can enjoy mountain flowers; in summer, outdoor activities like camping or river trekking; in autumn, the beautiful fall foliage; and in winter, the snow scenery, allowing for enjoyment throughout the four seasons.
