📜 Hotel Details

Shimayado Mari is a hot spring inn located in the land of soy sauce. The impressive landscape of traditional soy sauce brewing houses lined up one after another leaves a lasting impression. The dining area and guest rooms have been transformed from old folk houses and warehouses registered as tangible cultural properties. They retain a calm and rustic nostalgic charm while exuding a stylish and minimalist modern atmosphere, providing guests with an elegant and comfortable lodging experience. The inn has a total of 8 guest rooms, all equipped with flowing hot spring baths, and each room features unique designs and furnishings. For example, "denoma (での間)" is a room where guests can enjoy beautiful garden views from the corridor. In addition to the hot springs in the guest rooms, there is also the inn's own source, "Rie Onsen." It includes two private baths, "Ishi-yu" and "Take-yu," both featuring indoor and outdoor hot springs. "Ishi-yu" has a stone indoor bath that overlooks the garden and a semi-outdoor hot spring where guests can relax with their heads resting on the edge of the pool. "Take-yu," on the other hand, features a stone indoor bath and an outdoor bath surrounded by a bamboo grove. No matter which hot spring you choose, you can fully enjoy the pleasures of the onsen, and you won't tire of soaking multiple times a day. One of the greatest joys of staying here is the inn's famous "Soy Sauce Kaiseki." The "Soy Sauce Kaiseki" is a meal that perfectly pairs carefully brewed Shodoshima soy sauce, made using traditional methods, with seasonal ingredients from the Seto Inland Sea. Guests can enjoy different types of sashimi and local vegetables paired with four distinct varieties of aged soy sauce, enhancing the flavors of the ingredients. The rich and varied tastes leave guests amazed.
