🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
Understand, learn, and experience the facilities of fireworks.
📖 Details
In 2018, the cultural facility "Hanabi-Um (はなび・アム)" was inaugurated as part of the nationally renowned fireworks competition "Ōmagari Hanabi," where fireworks experts compete in their skills. Through explanations of the history, principles, and production methods of fireworks, as well as visits to virtual workshops, the traditional culture of fireworks is passed on to the next generation.
After learning about the types and history of fireworks inside the facility, visitors can move on to the experience area. In the "Fireworks Theater," they can watch stunning and dazzling fireworks videos on four large screens, feeling as if they are at the fireworks festival. In the "Fireworks Creation Workshop," visitors can design their own original fireworks using models and project them on a screen, experiencing the sensation of becoming a fireworks master.
Additionally, a replica of "Ōmagari Hanabi" created by the renowned Japanese silhouette artist Seiji Fujishiro is on display (the original is housed in the "Fujishiro Seiji Art Museum" in Tochigi Prefecture). The silhouette technique presents a colorful and magnificent replica of fireworks art that captivates viewers, allowing the scenes of the fireworks festival to be vividly recalled in their minds.
After gaining an understanding of fireworks through visits and experiences, it is recommended to participate in the annual national fireworks competition "Ōmagari Hanabi," held in late August.
