🗺️ Nishino Shrine

📝 Introduction

A highly effective energy spot that is sought after for a smooth childbirth and forming good relationships, beloved by women!

📖 Details

Located in the suburbs of Sapporo, the shrine will celebrate its 140th anniversary in 2025. The worship hall is connected to the main hall and the offering hall, dedicated to the deities Toyotama-hime, Ugayafukiaezu-no-Mikoto, and Kunitokotachi-no-Mikoto. It is one of the most representative energy spots in Sapporo, attracting numerous worshippers from both within and outside the region. The main deity, Toyotama-hime, is known for her dramatic encounter that led to a union, making this shrine one of the few in Hokkaido famous for blessings related to safe childbirth and good relationships. Near the shrine, there is a monument celebrating its 120th anniversary, shaped like a mother dog and her puppies, symbolizing safe childbirth. Those wishing for children can touch the mother dog in the center, while those praying for safe delivery can touch the puppy representing the zodiac sign of their soon-to-be-born child. It is said that touching a puppy of one's own zodiac sign can also bring health blessings. The variety of omikuji (fortune slips) is also very famous, with about 300 different types available. Visitors can choose based on their prayer requests or designs. The shrine grounds are surrounded by lush green forests, making it a great place to enjoy a leisurely walk in the fresh air and the changing scenery of the seasons.
