🗺️ Yaedake Sakura no Mori Park

At an elevation of 453 meters, Yaedake is a mountain range located at the border of Motobu Town and Nago City, with Yaedake Cherry Blossom Forest Park situated on its slopes. Due to the warm climate of the Yaedake mountainous area, the cherry blossoms bloom early, making it famous far and wide. From January to early February, about 7,000 vibrant Kanhi cherry trees bloom, earning the title of "the earliest blooming cherry blossoms in Japan," making it one of the earliest cherry blossom viewing areas in the country. Along the trail to the summit, cherry blossoms also bloom, with the trail being approximately one kilometer long, taking about 30 minutes to walk. The contrast between the lush green mountain forest and the cherry blossoms weaves together a unique landscape of Okinawa. Every year, from mid-January, a two-week cherry blossom season is held, with the main venue being the "Yaedake Cherry Blossom Forest Park." The park is equipped with playground equipment, recreational facilities, restrooms, and a multifunctional plaza. It features large composite play structures and slides, making it a favorite playground for local children.

The park is located at an altitude of 453 meters on the mid-slope of Yae-yama. The best time to view the early-blooming "Kanhi-zakura" cherry blossoms is from January to early February. The park is equipped with complete facilities such as playground equipment, recreational facilities, restrooms, and a multipurpose plaza.
